2 Maccabees 4:5

Onias went to the king not to accuse his fellow citizens but to safeguard the public and private welfare of the people.
Not to be an accuser of his countrymen, but with a view to the common good of all the people.
so he went to the king, not for the purpose of making accusations against his own people, but for the common good of all Jews, both in their private and public lives.
So he had recourse to the king, not as an accuser of his compatriots, but as one looking to the general and particular good of all the people.
Therefore, he appealed to the king, not to accuse his compatriots but rather as one who had at heart the best interests, both public and private, of all the people.
So he appealed to the king, not accusing his compatriots but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
So he appealed to the king, not accusing his compatriots but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
So he appealed to the king, not accusing his compatriots but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
So he appealed to the king, not accusing his compatriots but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
So he betook himself to the king, not accusing his fellow citizens but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
So he betook himself to the king, not accusing his fellow citizens but having in view the welfare, both public and private, of all the people.
And Onias gave himself to the king; not as (an) accuser of (the) citizens, but beholding with himself the common profit of all the multitude.
