Sostratus the commander of the elevated fortress demanded settlement of the debt, for he had the responsibility of collecting payment. Finally, the two were summoned by the king.
For to him appertained the gathering of the taxes: wherefore they were both called before the king.
However, Sostratus, the captain of the fort in Jerusalem, kept demanding the money, since it was his responsibility to collect it. So finally, the two men were summoned to appear before the king concerning the matter.
