But his soldiers stood steady, as he had commanded. Eventually, the horses of the enemy got tired.
But the people stood still, as Jonathan had commanded them: and so their horses were fatigued.
But Jonathan's men stood firm, as he had ordered, and the attacking cavalry grew tired.
But his troops held their ground, as Jonathan had commanded, while the enemy’s horses became tired out.
