敬虔的奧祕
14 我把這些事寫給你，希望很快到你那裡去。 15 就算我耽延了，你也可以知道在神的家裡應該怎樣行事。這家是永生神的教會，是真理的柱石和根基。 16 正如大家所承認的，敬神的奧祕是極大的：
神[a]以肉身顯現，
被聖靈證實，
被天使觀看，
被傳於萬邦，
被世人信仰，
被接在榮耀裡。
背道的預言
4 不過聖靈明確地說，在末後的時代有些人會離開這信仰，聽從迷惑人的邪靈和鬼魔的教義。 2 這些教義出於說謊之人的偽善，這些人的良心已經麻木了[b]。 3 他們禁止結婚，要求[c]遠避某些食物，就是神所創造的，好讓信徒和了解真理的人以感謝的心享用。 4 原來神所造的一切都是美好的；如果以感謝的心領受，就什麼也不用丟棄， 5 因為藉著神的話語、藉著代求，這些都被分別為聖了。
