New Catholic Bible (NCB)
Version
Psalm 147:12-20

12 [a]Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!
    Glorify your God, O Zion!
13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates
    and blesses your children within you.[b]
14 He brings peace to your borders
    and fills you with the finest of wheat.[c]
15 He sends a command to the earth;
    his word runs with utmost speed.
16 He gives the snow like wool
    and scatters the frost like ashes.[d]
17 He hurls down his hail like crumbs;
    who can withstand his cold?[e]
18 He sends his word, and the ice melts;
    he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow.
19 [f]He has revealed his word to Jacob,
    his decrees and his judgments to Israel.
20 He has not done this for the other nations;
    they are not aware of his judgments.
Alleluia.

2 Chronicles 1:7-13

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him: “Ask what you wish me to grant you.” Solomon replied to God: “You have shown great and faithful love to my father, and you have granted me the privilege of succeeding him as king. Lord God, let your promise to my father David now be fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Therefore, now grant me wisdom and knowledge to lead this people, for without your help who can rule this great people of yours?”

11 Then God replied to Solomon: “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth or possessions or honor, or for the lives of those who are hostile to you, or even for a long life for yourself, but instead have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself so that you may govern my people over whom I have designated you to be king, 12 wisdom and knowledge will be granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and glory such as no king before you has had and none after you shall be granted.”[a]

13 Solomon’s Wealth.[b] Then Solomon returned to Jerusalem from the meeting tent to the high place at Gibeon, and he reigned as king over Israel.

Mark 13:32-37

32 The Day and Hour Unknown.[a]“But as for that day or that hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on your guard and keep alert, because you do not know when the time will come.

34 “It is like a man going on a journey. He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his own duties to perform, and he commands the doorkeeper to remain alert. 35 Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know when the master of the house will return, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or at dawn, 36 lest he arrive unexpectedly and find you asleep. 37 What I say to you, I say to all: Keep awake!”
