Version
Psalm 45:1-2

A song celebrating the king’s marriage.

For the Chief Musician; set to [a]Shoshannim. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves.

45 My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter;
[b]I speak the things which I have made touching the king:
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Thou art fairer than the children of men;
Grace is poured [c]into thy lips:
Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

Psalm 45:6-9

[a]Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:
A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness:
Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee
With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia;
Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.
Kings’ daughters are among thy honorable women:
At thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

Song of Solomon 2:1-7

I am a [a]rose of [b]Sharon,
A lily of the valleys.

As a lily among thorns,
So is my love among the daughters.

As the apple-tree among the trees of the wood,
So is my beloved among the sons.
I [c]sat down under his shadow with great delight,
And his fruit was sweet to my taste.
He brought me to the [d]banqueting-house,
And his banner over me was love.
Stay ye me with [e]raisins, refresh me with apples;
For I am sick from love.
[f]His left hand is under my head,
And his right hand doth embrace me.

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
By the [g]roes, or by the hinds of the field,
That ye stir not up, nor awake my love,
Until [h]he please.

James 1:9-16

But let the brother of low degree glory in his high estate: 10 and the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. 11 For the sun ariseth with the scorching wind, and withereth the grass; and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings.

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted [a]of God; for God [b]cannot be tempted with [c]evil, and he himself tempteth no man: 14 but each man is [d]tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then the lust, when it hath conceived, beareth sin: and the sin, when it is fullgrown, bringeth forth death. 16 Be not deceived, my beloved brethren.
