2 Samuel 7:1-14

The Ark of God Inhabits a Tent

(A)Now it happened when the king inhabited his house, and Yahweh had given him rest on every side from all his enemies, that the king said to (B)Nathan the prophet, “See now, I inhabit (C)a house of cedar, but the ark of God (D)inhabits tent curtains.” So Nathan said to the king, “(E)Go, do all that is in your heart, for Yahweh is with you.”

Now it happened in the same night, that the word of Yahweh came to Nathan, saying, “Go and say to My servant David, ‘Thus says Yahweh, “(F)Are you the one who would build Me a house to inhabit? For (G)I have not inhabited a house since the day I brought up the sons of Israel from Egypt, even to this day; but I have been going about (H)in a tent, even in a [a]tabernacle. (I)Wherever I have gone about with all the sons of Israel, did I speak a word with one of the tribes of Israel, (J)which I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

David’s House Will Be Established Forever

So now, thus you shall say to My servant David, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “(K)I Myself took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, (L)to be ruler over My people Israel. (M)And I have been with you wherever you have gone and (N)have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. 10 And I will appoint a place for My people Israel and (O)will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and not be disturbed again; (P)and the [b]unrighteous will not afflict them any more as formerly, 11 even (Q)from the day that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel; and (R)I will give you rest from all your enemies. Yahweh also declares to you that (S)Yahweh will make a house for you. 12 (T)When your days are fulfilled and you (U)lie down with your fathers, (V)I will raise up one of your seed after you, who will come forth from [c]your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 (W)He shall build a house for My name, and (X)I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 (Y)I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me; (Z)when he commits iniquity, I will reprove him with the rod of men and the strikes from the sons of men,

Psalm 89:20-37

20 I have (A)found David My [a]servant;
With My holy (B)oil I have anointed him,
21 With whom (C)My hand will be established;
My arm also will (D)strengthen him.
22 The enemy will not [b]deceive him,
Nor the [c](E)son of unrighteousness afflict him.
23 But I shall (F)crush his adversaries before him,
And strike those who hate him.
24 My (G)faithfulness and My lovingkindness will be with him,
And in My name his (H)horn will be exalted.
25 I shall also set his hand (I)on the sea
And his right hand on the rivers.
26 He will call to Me, ‘You are (J)my Father,
My God, and the (K)rock of my salvation.’
27 I also shall make him My (L)firstborn,
The (M)highest of the kings of the earth.
28 My (N)lovingkindness I will keep for him forever,
And My (O)covenant shall be confirmed to him.
29 So I will set up his (P)seed to endure forever
And his (Q)throne (R)as the days of heaven.

30 “If his sons (S)forsake My law
And do not walk in My judgments,
31 If they profane My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
32 Then I will punish their transgression with the (T)rod
And their iniquity with striking.
33 But I will not break off (U)My lovingkindness from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34 My (V)covenant I will not profane,
Nor will I (W)alter what comes forth from My lips.
35 [d]Once I have (X)sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
36 His (Y)seed shall endure forever
And his (Z)throne (AA)as the sun before Me.
37 It shall be established forever (AB)like the moon,
And the (AC)witness in the sky is faithful.” [e]Selah.

Ephesians 2:11-22

11 Therefore, remember that (A)formerly (B)you—the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “(C)Uncircumcision” by the so-called “(D)Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time without Christ, (E)alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers to (F)the covenants of promise, having (G)no hope and (H)without God in the world. 13 But now in (I)Christ Jesus you who (J)formerly were (K)far off [a]have (L)been brought near (M)by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is (N)our peace, (O)who made both groups one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition 15 [b]by (P)abolishing in His flesh the enmity, (Q)the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might (R)create the two into (S)one new man, making (T)peace, 16 and might (U)reconcile them both in (V)one body to God through the cross, having in Himself (W)put to death the enmity. 17 And (X)He came and preached (Y)the good news of peace to you who were (Z)far away, and peace to those who were (AA)near; 18 for through Him we both have (AB)our access in (AC)one Spirit to (AD)the Father. 19 So then you are no longer (AE)strangers and sojourners, but you are (AF)fellow citizens with the [c]saints, and are of (AG)God’s household, 20 having been (AH)built on (AI)the foundation of (AJ)the apostles and prophets, (AK)Christ Jesus Himself being the (AL)corner stone, 21 (AM)in whom the whole building, being joined together, is growing into (AN)a holy [d]sanctuary in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being (AO)built together into a (AP)dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Mark 6:30-34

30 (A)And the (B)apostles *gathered together with Jesus; and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught. 31 And He *said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” (For there were many people coming and going, and (C)they did not even have time to eat.) 32 (D)And they went away in (E)the boat to a desolate place by themselves.

Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

33 And the people saw them going, and many recognized them and ran there together on foot from all the cities, and got there ahead of them. 34 And when Jesus went [a]ashore, He (F)saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because (G)they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

Mark 6:53-56

Many Healed at Gennesaret

53 (A)And when they had crossed over they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore. 54 And when they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 and ran about that whole region and began to carry here and there on their mats those who were sick, to [a]the place they heard He was. 56 And wherever He was entering villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the marketplaces, and pleading with Him that they might just (B)touch (C)the fringe of His garment; and as many as touched it were being [b]saved from their sicknesses.
