Version
Acts 10:44-48

44 While Peter was still speaking these things, (A)the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the word. 45 (B)And all the [a]circumcised believers who came with Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been (C)poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them (D)speaking with tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter answered, 47 (E)Can anyone refuse water for these to be baptized who (F)have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?” 48 And he (G)ordered them to be baptized (H)in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for a few days.

Psalm 98

Sing to Yahweh a New Song

A Psalm.

98 Sing to Yahweh a (A)new song,
For He has done (B)wondrous deeds,
His (C)right hand and His (D)holy arm have [a]worked out His salvation.
(E)Yahweh has made known His salvation;
He has (F)revealed His righteousness in the eyes of the nations.
He has (G)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(H)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

(I)Make a loud shout to Yahweh, all the earth;
(J)Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
Sing praises to Yahweh with the (K)lyre,
With the lyre and the (L)sound of singing.
With (M)trumpets and the sound of the horn
(N)Make a loud shout before (O)King Yahweh.

Let the (P)sea roar, as well as its fullness,
The (Q)world and those who dwell in it.
Let the (R)rivers clap their hands,
Let the (S)mountains sing together for joy
Before Yahweh, for He is coming to (T)judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And (U)the peoples with [b]equity.

1 John 5:1-6

Overcoming the World

(A)Everyone who believes that Jesus is the [a]Christ has been [b](B)born of God, and everyone who loves the [c]One who gives new birth (C)loves also the one who has been [d]born of Him. (D)By this we know that (E)we love the children of God, when we love God and do His commandments. For (F)this is the love of God, that we (G)keep His commandments; and (H)His commandments are not burdensome. For everything that has been [e](I)born of God (J)overcomes the world; and this is the overcoming that has overcome the world—our faith.

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who (K)believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the One who came (L)by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not [f]with the water only, but [g]with the water and [h]with the blood. It is (M)the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

John 15:9-17

Just as (A)the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10 (B)If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as (C)I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 (D)These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your (E)joy may be complete.

Jesus’ Commandment Is Love

12 “This is (F)My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13 (G)Greater love has no one than this, that one (H)lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are My (I)friends if (J)you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for (K)all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 (L)You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and (M)bear fruit, and that your fruit would abide, so that (N)whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17 This (O)I command you, that you love one another.
