Psalm 118:1-2

118 1 David rejected of Saul and of the people at the time appointed obtained the kingdom. 4 For the which he biddeth all them, that fear the Lord, to be thankful.  And under his person in all this was Christ lively set forth, who should be of his people rejected.

Praise [a]ye the Lord, because he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.

Let Israel now say, That his mercy endureth forever.

Psalm 118:14-24

14 The Lord is my strength and [a]song: for he hath been my deliverance.

15 The [b]voice of joy and deliverance shall be in the tabernacles of the righteous, saying, The right hand of the Lord hath done valiantly.

16 [c]The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord hath done valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

18 The Lord had chastened me sore, but he hath not delivered me to death.

19 Open ye unto me the [d]gates of righteousness, that I may go into them, and praise the Lord.

20 This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter into it.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and hast been my deliverance.

22 (A)The stone, which the builders [e]refused, is the head of the corner.

23 This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes,

24 This is the [f]day, which the Lord hath made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Genesis 1:20-2:4

20 Afterward God said, Let the waters bring forth in abundance every [a]creeping thing that hath [b]life: and let the fowl fly upon the earth in the [c]open firmament of the heaven.

21 Then God created the great whales, and everything living and moving, which the [d]waters brought forth in abundance according to their kind, and every feathered fowl according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 Then God [e]blessed them, saying, Bring forth fruit and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the fowl multiply in the earth.

23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 ¶ Moreover God said, Let the earth bring forth the [f]living thing according to his kind, cattle, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth according to his kind, and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth according to his kind, and the cattle according to his kind, and every creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 Furthermore God said, (A)[g]Let us make man in our [h]image according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heaven, and over the beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything that creepeth and moveth on the earth.

27 Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them (B)male and female.

28 And God [i]blessed them, and God said to them, (C)Bring forth fruit, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heaven, and over every beast that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given unto you [j]every herb bearing seed, which is upon all the earth, and every tree, wherein is the fruit of a tree bearing seed: (D)that shall be to you for meat.

30 Likewise to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the heaven, and to everything that moveth upon the earth, which hath life in itself, every green herb shall be for meat, and it was so.

31 (E)And God saw all that he had made, and lo, it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

2 God resteth the seventh day, and sanctifieth it. 15 He setteth man in the garden. 22 He createth the woman. 24 Marriage is ordained.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the [k]host of them.

For in the seventh day God ended his work which he had made, (F)and the seventh day he [l]rested from all his work, which he had made.

So God blessed the seventh day, and [m]sanctified it, because that in it he had rested from all his work, which God created and made.

¶ These are the [n]generations of the heavens and of the earth, when they were created, in the day, that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

1 Corinthians 15:50-58

50 [a]This say I, brethren, that [b]flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 [c]Behold, I show you a [d]secret thing, We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In [e]a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last (A)trumpet: for the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shall be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption: and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible hath put on incorruption, and this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying, that is written, (B)Death is swallowed up into victory.

55 O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin: and the strength of sin is the Law.

57 (C)But thanks be unto God, which hath given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 [f]Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, abundant always in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the [g]Lord.
