4 我在上帝和将审判活人和死人的基督耶稣面前，凭着基督的再现和他的王国郑重地命令你： 2 传播福音；不论时机是否方便，你都要履行这一职责。你要说服人们去做该做的事情，警告和鼓励人们。要用极大的耐心和细致的指导去做这些。 3 我这么说，是因为总有一天，人们会不愿听从这健全的教导，而去为他们自己搜罗适合自己爱好的教师，好来满足他们发痒的耳朵。（这些教师只说他们想听的话。） 4 他们对真理掩耳不听，反去听信传说。 5 但是，你无论在任何情况下都应该控制自己，忍受痛苦，做福音传教士的工作，执行上帝赋予你的职责。
