Psalm 130

Yahweh Will Redeem Israel

A Song of Ascents.

130 Out of the (A)depths I called to You, O Yahweh.
O Lord, (B)hear my voice!
Let (C)Your ears be attentive
To the (D)voice of my supplications.
If You should keep iniquities, O Yah,
O Lord, who could (E)stand?
But with You there is (F)forgiveness,
That You may be (G)feared.

I hope for Yahweh, my (H)soul does hope,
And (I)for His word do I wait.
My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen (J)for the morning,
The watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, (K)wait for Yahweh;
For with Yahweh there is (L)lovingkindness,
And with Him is (M)abundant redemption.
And it is He who will (N)redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.

Genesis 45:16-28

16 Now (A)the [a]news was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, “Joseph’s brothers have come.” And it was good in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. 17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: load your beasts and [b]go to the land of Canaan, 18 and take your father and your households and come to me, and (B)I will give you the [c]best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land.’ 19 Now you are commanded, ‘Do this: [d]take (C)wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father and come. 20 Now do not [e]concern yourselves with your goods, for the [f]best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”

21 Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them (D)wagons according to the [g]command of Pharaoh, and he gave them provisions for the journey. 22 To [h]each of them he gave (E)changes of garments, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and (F)five changes of garments. 23 Now to his father he sent [i]as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the [j]best things of Egypt and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and sustenance for his father [k]on the journey.

24 So he sent his brothers away, and they departed. And he said to them, “Do not be stirred up on the journey.” 25 Then they went up from Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob. 26 And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” But [l]his heart was stunned, for (G)he did not believe them. 27 Yet they told him all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and he saw the (H)wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him. Then the spirit of their father Jacob revived. 28 And Israel said, “It is enough! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

Matthew 8:1-13

Jesus Cleanses a Leper

Now when [a]Jesus came down from the [b]mountain, [c]large crowds followed Him. And behold, (A)a leper came to Him and [d](B)was bowing down before Him, and said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” And Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his (C)leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus *said to him, (D)See that you tell no one; but (E)go, (F)show yourself to the priest and present the [e]offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

The Centurion’s Faith

And (G)when [f]Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, and saying, “[g]Lord, my [h]servant is [i]lying (H)paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented.” And Jesus *said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion said, “[j]Lord, I am not good enough for You to come under my roof, but just [k]say the word, and my [l]servant will be healed. For I also am a man under (I)authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this man, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” 10 Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith [m]with anyone in Israel. 11 And I say to you that many (J)will come from east and west, and [n]recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; 12 but (K)the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into (L)the outer darkness; in that place (M)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 And Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; [o]it shall be done for you (N)as you have believed.” And the [p]servant was healed that very [q]moment.
