Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
How Long, O Yahweh?
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
13 How long, O Yahweh? Will You (A)forget me forever?
How long (B)will You hide Your face from me?
2 How long shall I (C)take counsel in my soul,
Having (D)sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
23 And he went up from there to (A)Beersheba. 24 And Yahweh (B)appeared to him that night and said,
“(C)I am the God of your father Abraham;
(D)Do not fear, for I am with you.
I (E)will bless you and multiply your seed,
For the sake of My servant Abraham.”
25 So he built an (F)altar there and called upon the name of Yahweh and pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug out a well.
Do All Which Jesus Commands
17 Now He said to His disciples, “(A)It is [a]inevitable that [b]stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come! 2 (B)It [c]would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble. 3 [d]Be on your guard! (C)If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you (D)seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ [e]forgive him.”
