New Catholic Bible (NCB)
Version
Psalm 119:1-8

[a]Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
    who walk in accord with the law[b] of the Lord.
Blessed are those who observe his statutes
    and seek him with their whole heart.[c]
They do nothing wrong;
    they walk in his ways.[d]
[e]You have ordained
    that your commands be diligently observed.
May my ways be steadfast
    in the observance of your decrees.
Then I will never be put to shame
    when I take note of all your precepts.
I will praise you in sincerity of heart
    as I ponder your righteous judgments.
I will observe your decrees;
    do not forsake me completely.

Deuteronomy 30:1-9

Chapter 30

God’s Forgiveness and Blessing. When all of these blessings and curses come upon you that I have set before you and you call them to mind wherever you are dispersed among all of the nations, and you and your children return to the Lord, your God, and you obey his voice in all that I command you today with all your heart and all your soul, then the Lord, your God, will have compassion on you in your captivity, and he will bring you back, gathering you from all the nations where the Lord, your God, has scattered you. The Lord, your God, will gather and fetch you back, even if your exiles are in the outermost parts of the heavens. The Lord, your God, will bring you into the land that your ancestors possessed so that you might possess it, and he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors. The Lord, your God, will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your offspring so that you might love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and that you might live. The Lord, your God, will cause all of these curses to come upon your enemies and those who hated and persecuted you. You shall once again obey the voice of the Lord and observe all of his commandments that I have given you today. The Lord, your God, will make you bountiful in all of your undertakings, your offspring, your livestock, and the produce from your land; the Lord will take as much delight in bringing you prosperity as the Lord delighted in your fathers

Matthew 15:1-9

Chapter 15

Traditions That Falsify the Law of God. Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, [a]“Why do your disciples ignore the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before eating.” He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘Whoever curses his father or mother shall be put to death.’ But you say, ‘If anyone says to his father or mother, “Anything I might have used for your support is dedicated to God,” then he is excused from his duty to honor his father or mother.’ To uphold your tradition you have made God’s word null and void. You hypocrites! How rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you when he said:

‘This people honors me with their lips,
    but their hearts are far from me;
in vain do they worship me,
    teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
