Version
Psalm 117

¶ O praise the LORD, all ye Gentiles; praise him, all ye peoples.

For he has greatly increased his mercy upon us; and the truth of the LORD endures for ever. Halelu-JAH.

Jeremiah 31:1-6

31 ¶ In that time, said the LORD, I will be the God unto all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

Thus hath the LORD said, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness as I went to cause Israel to find rest.

The LORD has appeared of old unto me, saying, I have loved thee with an eternal love: therefore, I have put up with thee with mercy.

Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tambourines and shalt go forth in the chorus of dancers.

Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant and shall eat them as common things.

For there shall be a day in which the watchmen upon the Mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up into Zion unto the LORD our God.

Luke 1:1-4

¶ Forasmuch as many have attempted to set forth in order the history of those things which among us have been most certain,

even as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning taught us and thus were ministers of the word,

it seemed good also to me, after having understood all the things from the beginning with great diligence, to write them unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

that thou mightest know the security of those things in which thou hast been instructed.
