Psalm 119:17-32

ג Gimel

17 Deal kindly with Your servant, that I may live
    and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
    wondrous things from Your law.
19 I am a sojourner in the land;
    do not hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul is consumed all the time
    with a longing for Your decrees.
21 You have rebuked the proud, those cursed,
    who depart from Your commandments.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt,
    for I have kept Your testimonies.
23 Even if princes sit and conspire against me,
    Your servant will meditate on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies are my delight
    and my counselors.

ד Daleth

25 My soul clings to the dust;
    revive me according to Your word.
26 I have declared my ways, and You heard me;
    teach me Your statutes.
27 Make me to understand the way of Your precepts;
    then I shall contemplate on Your wondrous works.
28 My soul collapses on account of grief;
    strengthen me according to Your word.
29 Remove from me the way of falsehood,
    and graciously grant me Your law.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
    Your judgments I have laid before me.
31 I have stayed with Your testimonies, O Lord;
    may I not be put to shame.
32 I will run in the way of Your commandments,
    when You set my heart free.

Amos 7:1-6

Plague of Locusts

This is what the Lord God showed me: He was forming a plague of locusts when the latter growth was beginning to sprout up, the latter growth after the king’s reaping. When they had finished devouring the foliage of the land, I said, “O Lord God, please forgive. How can Jacob survive? For he is small.”

The Lord relented concerning this:

“It shall not be,” said the Lord.

Fire

This is what the Lord God showed me: The Lord God was calling for a judgment by fire. It was consuming the great deep and was devouring the fields. I said, “O Lord God, please stop. How can Jacob survive? For he is small.”

The Lord relented concerning this:

“This also shall not be,” said the Lord God.

Colossians 1:27-2:7

27 To them God would make known what is the glorious riches of this mystery among the nations. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory, 28 whom we preach, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present them perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 In this I labor, striving according to His power, which effectively works in me.

I would like you to know what a great struggle I am having for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for everyone who has not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and receive all the riches and assurance of full understanding, and knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now this I say lest anyone beguile you with enticing words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing and seeing your orderliness and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Fullness of Life in Christ

As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving.
