Psalm 100

Worship God with Joy

A psalm of thanksgiving.[a]

100 Shout in triumph to Yahweh, all the earth.
Serve[b] Yahweh with joy;
come into his presence with exultation.
Know that Yahweh, he is God;
he made us and we are his.[c]
We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him; bless his name.
For Yahweh is good; his loyal love is forever,
and his faithfulness is from generation to generation.[d]

Jeremiah 50:17-20

17 Israel is a sheep scattered,
    lions drove them away.
The first who devoured it was the king of Assyria,
    and now at the end Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, gnawed its bones.”

18 Therefore[a] thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel,

“Look, I am going to punish the king of Babylon and his land
    just as I punished the king of Assyria.
19 And I will restore Israel to its pasture,
    and it will feed on Carmel, and in Bashan,
and on the hills[b] of Ephraim, and in Gilead
    its hunger will be satisfied.
20 In those days and at that time,” declares[c] Yahweh,
    “the guilt of Israel will be sought, but there is none,
and the sins of Judah, but they will not be found,
    for I will forgive those I left behind.

John 10:31-42

31 Then[a] the Jews picked up stones again so that they could stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good deeds from the Father. For which one of them are you going to stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “We are not going to stone you concerning a good deed, but concerning blasphemy, and because you, although you[b] are a man, make yourself to be God!” 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?[c] 35 If he called them ‘gods’ to whom the word of God came—and the scripture cannot be broken— 36 do you say about he whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the deeds of my Father, do not believe me. 38 But if I am doing them,[d] even if you do not believe me, believe the deeds, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” 39 So they were seeking again to seize him, and he departed out of their hand.

40 And he went away again on the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John was baptizing at an earlier time, and he stayed there. 41 And many came to him and began to say,[e] “John performed no sign, but everything John said about this man was true!” 42 And many believed in him there.
