GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
Version
Psalm 63:1-8

A psalm by David when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

63 O God, you are my God.
At dawn I search for you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My body longs for you
in a dry, parched land where there is no water.
So I look for you in the holy place
to see your power and your glory.
My lips will praise you
because your mercy is better than life ⌞itself⌟.
So I will thank you as long as I live.
I will lift up my hands ⌞to pray⌟ in your name.
You satisfy my soul with the richest foods.
My mouth will sing ⌞your⌟ praise with joyful lips.
As I lie on my bed, I remember you.
Through the long hours of the night, I think about you.
You have been my help.
In the shadow of your wings, I sing joyfully.
My soul clings to you.
Your right hand supports me.

Daniel 12:1-4

12 ⌞The person who looked like a human continued,⌟ “At that time Michael, the great commander, will stand up on behalf of the descendants of your people. It will be a time of trouble unlike any that has existed from the time there have been nations until that time. But at that time your people, everyone written in the book, will be rescued. Many sleeping in the ground will wake up. Some will wake up to live forever, but others will wake up to be ashamed and disgraced forever. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness on the horizon. Those who lead many people to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.

“But you, Daniel, keep these words secret, and seal the book until the end times. Many will travel everywhere, and knowledge will grow.”

Revelation 3:1-6

A Letter to the Church in Sardis

“To the messenger of the church in Sardis, write: The one who has God’s seven spirits and the seven stars says:

I know what you have done. You are known for being alive, but you are dead. Be alert, and strengthen the things that are left which are about to die. I have found that what you are doing has not been completed in the sight of my God. So remember what you received and heard. Obey, and change the way you think and act. If you’re not alert, I’ll come like a thief. You don’t know when I will come. But you have a few people in Sardis who have kept their clothes clean. They will walk with me in white clothes because they deserve it. Everyone who wins the victory this way will wear white clothes. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge them in the presence of my Father and his angels. Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
