Version
Psalm 37:12-22

12 The wicked (A)plots against the righteous,
And (B)gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord (C)laughs at him,
For He sees that (D)his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and (E)bent their bow
To take down the (F)afflicted and the needy,
To (G)kill off those who are upright in conduct.
15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their (H)bows will be broken.

16 (I)Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the (J)arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord (K)sustains the righteous.
18 The Lord (L)knows the days of the [a]blameless,
And their (M)inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And (N)in the days of famine they will have plenty.
20 But the (O)wicked will perish;
And the enemies of the Lord will be like the [b]glory of the pastures,
They vanish—(P)like smoke they vanish away.
21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous (Q)is gracious and gives.
22 For (R)those blessed by Him will (S)inherit the land,
But those (T)cursed by Him will be eliminated.

2 Chronicles 9:29-31

29 (A)Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, from the first to the last, (B)are they not written in the [a]records of Nathan the prophet, in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of [b]Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat? 30 (C)Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel for forty years.

Death of Solomon

31 And Solomon [c]lay down with his fathers and was buried in (D)the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.

Mark 6:35-44

35 And when it was already late, His disciples came up to Him and said, “[a]This place is secluded and it is already late; 36 send them away so that they may go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves [b]something to eat.” 37 But He answered them, “You give them something to eat!” (A)And they *said to Him, “Shall we go and spend two hundred [c](B)denarii on bread, and give it to them to eat?” 38 But He *said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go look!” And when they found out, they *said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 And He ordered them all to recline by groups on the green grass. 40 They reclined in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He (C)blessed the food and broke the loaves and He gave them to the disciples again and again to set before them; and He divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied; 43 and they picked up twelve full (D)baskets of the broken pieces of bread, and of the fish. 44 There were (E)five thousand [d]men who ate the loaves.
