the righteous will enter through it.(B)
21 I will give thanks to you
because you have answered me
and have become my salvation.(C)
22 The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.(D)
23 This came from the Lord;
it is wondrous in our sight.(E)

Jeremiah 33:10-16

10 “This is what the Lord says: In this place, which you say is a ruin,(A) without people or animals—that is, in Judah’s cities and Jerusalem’s streets that are a desolation without people, without inhabitants, and without animals—there will be heard again 11 a sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride,(B) and the voice of those saying,

Give thanks to the Lord of Armies,
for the Lord is good;
his faithful love endures forever

as they bring thanksgiving sacrifices to the temple of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the Lord.

12 “This is what the Lord of Armies says: In this desolate place—without people or animals—and in all its cities there will once more be a grazing land where shepherds may rest flocks.(C) 13 The flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them(D) in the cities of the hill country,(E) the cities of the Judean foothills, the cities of the Negev, the land of Benjamin—the areas around Jerusalem and in Judah’s cities, says the Lord.

God’s Covenant with David

14 “Look, the days are coming”—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
“when I will fulfill the good promise
that I have spoken
concerning the house of Israel
and the house of Judah.(F)
15 In those days and at that time
I will cause a Righteous Branch(G)
to sprout up for David,
and he will administer justice
and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days Judah will be saved,
and Jerusalem will dwell securely,(H)
and this is what she will be named:
The Lord Is Our Righteousness.[a]

Mark 10:32-34

The Third Prediction of His Death

32 They(A) were on the road, going up to Jerusalem,(B) and Jesus was walking ahead of them. The disciples were astonished, but those who followed him were afraid.(C) Taking the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them the things that would happen to him.(D) 33 “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man(E) will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes,(F) and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles,(G) 34 and they will mock him, spit on him, flog[a] him, and kill him, and he will rise(H) after three days.”(I)

Mark 10:46-52

A Blind Man Healed

46 They(A) came to Jericho.(B) And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind(C) beggar,(D) was sitting by the road.(E) 47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth,(F) he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David,(G) have mercy(H) on me!” (I) 48 Many warned him to keep quiet, but he was crying out all the more, “Have mercy on me,(J) Son of David!”

49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”

So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage!(K) Get up; he’s calling for you.” 50 He threw off his coat,(L) jumped up, and came to Jesus.

51 Then Jesus answered him, “What do you want(M) me to do for you?”

“Rabboni,”[a](N) the blind man said to him, “I want to see.”

52 Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has saved you.”(O) Immediately he could see and began to follow Jesus on the road.
