Psalm 149

149 1 An exhortation to the Church to praise the Lord for his victory and conquest, that he giveth his Saints against all man’s power.

Praise ye the Lord.

Sing ye unto the Lord [a]a new song: let his praise be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

Let Israel rejoice in him that [b]made him, and let the children of Zion rejoice in their [c]King.

Let them praise his Name with the flute: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

For the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meek glorious by deliverance.

Let the Saints be joyful with glory: let them sing loud upon their [d]beds.

Let the high Acts of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

[e]To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

To bind [f]their kings in chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron,

That they may execute upon them the judgment that is [g]written: this honor shall be to all his Saints. Praise ye the Lord.

Exodus 10:21-29

21 ¶ Again the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be upon the land of Egypt darkness, even darkness that may be [a]felt.

22 Then Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven, and there was a [b]black darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.

23 No man saw another, neither rose up from the place where he was for three days: but all the children of Israel had light where they dwelt.

24 Then Pharaoh called for Moses, and said, Go serve the Lord: only your sheep and your cattle shall abide, and your children shall go with you.

25 And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices, and burnt offerings that we may do sacrifice unto the Lord our God.

26 Therefore our cattle also shall go with us: there shall not an [c]hoof be left, for thereof must we take to serve the Lord our God: neither do we know [d]how we shall serve the Lord, until we come thither.

27 (But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.)

28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me: look thou see my face no more: for whensoever thou comest in my sight, thou shalt [e]die.

29 Then Moses said, Thou hast said well: from henceforth will I see thy face no more.

Romans 10:15-21

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, (A)How beautiful are the feet of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 [a]But they have not [b]all obeyed the Gospel: for Isaiah saith, (B)Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 [c]Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the [d]word of God.

18 [e]But I demand, Have they not heard? (C)No doubt their sound went out through all the earth, and their words into the ends of the world.

19 [f]But I demand, Did not Israel know God? First Moses saith, (D)I will provoke you to envy by a [g]nation that is not my nation, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20 (E)And Isaiah is [h]bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not, and have been made manifest to them that asked not after me.

21 And unto Israel he saith, All the day long have I stretched forth mine hand unto a disobedient, and gainsaying people.
