Version
Psalm 86:1-10

A Psalm of Supplication and Trust.

A Prayer of David.

86 (A)Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me;
For I am (B)afflicted and needy.
(C)Preserve my [a]soul, for I am a (D)godly man;
O You my God, save Your servant who (E)trusts in You.
Be (F)gracious to me, O Lord,
For (G)to You I cry all day long.
Make glad the soul of Your servant,
For to You, O Lord, (H)I lift up my soul.
For You, Lord, are (I)good, and (J)ready to forgive,
And (K)abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.
(L)Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;
And give heed to the voice of my supplications!
In (M)the day of my trouble I shall call upon You,
For (N)You will answer me.
There is (O)no one like You among the gods, O Lord,
Nor are there any works (P)like Yours.
(Q)All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And they shall glorify Your name.
10 For You are (R)great and (S)do [b]wondrous deeds;
You alone (T)are God.

Ezekiel 29:3-7

Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord [a]God,

“Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt,
The great [b](A)monster that lies in the midst of his [c]rivers,
That (B)has said, ‘My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’
“I will put (C)hooks in your jaws
And make the fish of your [d]rivers cling to your scales.
And I will bring you up out of the midst of your [e]rivers,
And all the fish of your [f]rivers will cling to your scales.
“I will (D)abandon you to the wilderness, you and all the fish of your [g]rivers;
You will fall on the [h]open field; you will not be brought together or [i](E)gathered.
I have given you for (F)food to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the sky.
“Then all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the Lord,
Because they have been only a (G)staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
“When they took hold of you with the hand,
You (H)broke and tore all their [j]hands;
And when they leaned on you,
You broke and made all their loins [k]quake.”

Luke 11:53-12:3

53 When He left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very hostile and to question Him closely on many subjects, 54 (A)plotting against Him (B)to catch [a]Him in something He might say.

God Knows and Cares

12 Under these circumstances, after [b]so many thousands of [c]people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another, He began saying to His disciples first of all, (C)Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. (D)But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have [d]whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon (E)the housetops.
