Version
Psalm 16

The Lord the Psalmist’s Portion in Life and Deliverer in Death.

A [a]Mikhtam of David.

16 (A)Preserve me, O God, for (B)I take refuge in You.
[b]I said to the Lord, “You are [c]my Lord;
I (C)have no good besides You.”
As for the [d](D)saints who are in the earth,
[e]They are the majestic ones (E)in whom is all my delight.
The [f](F)sorrows of those who have [g]bartered for another god will be multiplied;
I shall not pour out their drink offerings of (G)blood,
Nor will I (H)take their names upon my lips.

The Lord is the (I)portion of my inheritance and my (J)cup;
You support my (K)lot.
The (L)lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my heritage is (M)beautiful to me.

I will bless the Lord who has (N)counseled me;
Indeed, my [h](O)mind instructs me in the night.
(P)I have (Q)set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is (R)at my right hand, (S)I will not be shaken.
Therefore (T)my heart is glad and (U)my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will (V)dwell securely.
10 For You (W)will not abandon my soul to [i]Sheol;
Nor will You [j](X)allow Your [k]Holy One to [l]undergo decay.
11 You will make known to me (Y)the path of life;
In (Z)Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are (AA)pleasures forever.

Song of Solomon 8:6-7

“Put me like a [a]seal over your heart,
Like a (A)seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
[b](B)Jealousy is as severe as Sheol;
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
[c]The very flame of the Lord.
“Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor will rivers overflow it;
(C)If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love,
It would be utterly despised.”

John 20:11-20

11 (A)But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she (B)stooped and looked into the tomb; 12 and she *saw (C)two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying. 13 And they *said to her, “(D)Woman, why are you weeping?” She *said to them, “Because (E)they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14 When she had said this, she turned around and *(F)saw Jesus standing there, and (G)did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus *said to her, (H)Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing Him to be the gardener, she *said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus *said to her, “Mary!” She turned and *said to Him (I)in [a]Hebrew, “(J)Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). 17 Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to (K)My brethren and say to them, ‘I (L)ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” 18 (M)Mary Magdalene *came, (N)announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.

Jesus among His Disciples

19 So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for (O)fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, [b](P)Peace be with you.” 20 And when He had said this, (Q)He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then (R)rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
