TZADDI

¹³⁷ Righteous are You, O LORD, and just are Your Judgments.

¹³⁸ You have commanded justice by Your Testimonies and Truth, especially.

¹³⁹ My zeal has even consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten Your Words.

¹⁴⁰ Your Word is proved most pure. And Your servant loves it.

¹⁴¹ I am small and despised, yet I do not forget Your Precepts.

¹⁴² Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. And Your Law is Truth.

¹⁴³ Trouble and anguish have come upon me. Yet are the Commandments my delight.

¹⁴⁴ The righteousness of Your Testimonies is everlasting. Grant me understanding, and I shall live.

¹⁴ ‘Behold, the days come,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the House of Israel and to the House of Judah.

¹⁵ ‘In those days and at that time I will cause the Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

¹⁶ ‘In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely. And He Who shall call her is the LORD Our Righteousness.’

¹⁷ “For thus says the LORD: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit upon the throne of the House of Israel.

¹⁸ ‘Nor shall the priests and Levites lack a man before Me to offer Burnt Offerings, and to offer Meat Offerings, and to do Sacrifice continually.’”

¹⁹ And the Word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

²⁰ “Thus saith the LORD: ‘If you can break My Covenant of the day, and My Covenant of the night, so that there would not be day and night in their season,

²¹ ‘then may My Covenant be broken with David, My servant, so that he would not have a son to reign upon his throne, and with the Levites, priests, My ministers.

²² ‘As the army of Heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David, My servant, and the Levites who minister to Me.’”

²³ Moreover, the Word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

²⁴ “Do you not consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘The two families which the LORD has chosen, He has also cast them off?’ Thus they have despised My people, so that they would no longer be a nation before them.’

²⁵ “Thus says the LORD: ‘If My Covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the order of Heaven and Earth,

²⁶ ‘then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David, My servant, and not take from his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captivity to return and have compassion on them.’”

1 Paul - an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God - and brother Timothy, To the Church of God which is at Corinth (with all the Saints who are in all Achaia):

² Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort,

⁴ Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

⁵ For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation abounds through Christ.

⁶ And if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is wrought in the enduring of the same sufferings that we also suffer. Or, if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

⁷ And our hope is steadfast concerning you, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you also be of the consolation.

⁸ For brothers, we would not have you be ignorant of our affliction, which came to us in Asia; how we were pressed beyond measure, passing strength, so that we utterly despaired, even of life.

⁹ But, we received the sentence of death in ourselves, because we should not rest in ourselves, but in God, Who raised the dead.

¹⁰ Who delivered us from so great a death and does deliver us. And in Whom also we have hope will still yet deliver.

¹¹ So that you labor together in prayer for us, that thanks on our behalf may be given by many for the grace bestowed upon us through many.
