63 O God, You are my God. I will seek You early. My soul thirsts for You. My flesh longs greatly after You in a barren and dry land, without water.

² Thus, when I behold Your power and Your Glory, I behold You as in the Sanctuary.

³ For Your lovingkindness is better than life. My lips shall praise You.

⁴ Thus will I magnify You all my life and lift up my hands in Your Name.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied, as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,

⁶ When I remember You on my bed, I think upon You in the night watches.

⁷ Therefore, because You have been my helper, I will rejoice under the shadow of Your wings.

⁸ My soul clings to You. Your right hand upholds me.

⁹ Therefore, those who seek my soul to destroy it, they shall go into the lowest parts of the Earth.

¹⁰ They shall cast him down with the edge of the sword. They shall be a portion for foxes.

¹¹ But the king shall rejoice in God. All who swear by Him shall rejoice. For the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped. To him who excels: A Psalm of David

2 After this, David asked counsel of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah?” And the LORD said to him, “Go up.” And David said, “Where shall I go? He then answered, “To Hebron.”

² So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess and Abigail, Nabal the Carmelite’s wife.

³ And David brought up the men who were with him, every man with his household. And they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.

⁴ Then the men of Judah came. And they anointed David king over the House of Judah. And they told David, saying that the men of Jabesh Gilead had buried Saul.

⁵ And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead, and said to them, “Blessed are you of the LORD, in that you have shown such kindness to your lord Saul, that you have buried him!

⁶ “Therefore, now, may the LORD show mercy and truth to you. And I will repay you this benefit, because you have done this thing.

⁷ “Therefore, now, let your hands be strong, and be valiant! For your master Saul is dead, nevertheless the House of Judah has anointed me king over them.”

²⁵ “These things I have spoken to you in parables. But the time will come when I shall speak to you in parables no more. But I shall report to you plainly concerning the Father.

²⁶ On that day, you shall ask in My Name. And I do not say to you that I will pray to the Father for you.

²⁷ “For the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from God.

²⁸ “I came out from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.”

²⁹ His disciples said to Him, “Lo, now You speak plainly. And You speak no parable.

³⁰ “Now we know that You know all things and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You have come out from God.”

³¹ Jesus answered them, “Do you believe now?

³² “Behold, the hour comes (and has already come) that you shall be scattered, each to his own, and shall leave Me alone. But I am not alone. For the Father is with Me.

³³ “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation. But be of good courage. I have overcome the world.”
