Version
Acts 2:1-21

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because every man heard them speaking in his own language.

And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, “Behold, are not all these who speak Galileans?

And how then do we each hear them speaking in our own tongue wherein we were born?

Parthians, Medes, Elamites and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretans and Arabians — we hear them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”

12 And they were all amazed and were in doubt, saying one to another, “What meaneth this?”

13 Others mocking said, “These men are full of new wine.”

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said unto them, “Ye men of Judea and all ye who dwell in Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words.

15 For these are not drunken as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day;

16 but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days My Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath — blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood before that great and notable Day of the Lord come.

21 And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

Ezekiel 37:1-14

37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

and caused me to pass by them round about; and behold, there were very many in the open valley, and lo, they were very dry.

And He said unto me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, Thou knowest.”

Again He said unto me, “Prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, ‘O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

Then said He unto me, “Prophesy unto the wind. Prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, ‘Thus saith the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.’”

10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

11 Then He said unto me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried and our hope is lost. We are cut off from our parts.’

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, ‘Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 and shall put My Spirit in you and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land. Then shall ye know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it, saith the Lord.’”

Psalm 104:24-34

24 O Lord, how manifold are Thy works! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy riches.

25 So also is this great and wide sea, wherein are innumerable creeping things, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships; there also is that leviathan, whom Thou hast made to play therein.

27 These all wait upon Thee, that Thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 What Thou givest them, they gather: Thou openest Thine hand, they are filled with good.

29 Thou hidest Thy face, they are troubled; Thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth Thy Spirit, they are created; and Thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever; the Lord shall rejoice in His works.

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord.

Psalm 104:35

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul! Praise ye the Lord!

Romans 8:22-27

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for it?

25 But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

John 15:26-27

26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth who proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me.

27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning.

John 16:4-15

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. “And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

But now I go My way to Him that sent Me, and none of you asketh Me, ‘Whither goest Thou?’

But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

And when He is come, He will reprove the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment:

concerning sin, because they believe not in Me;

10 concerning righteousness, because I go to My Father and ye see Me no more;

11 concerning judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 However when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth; for He shall not speak from Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will show you things to come.

14 He shall glorify Me, for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are Mine; therefore I said that He shall take of Mine, and shall show it unto you.
