Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
To the Overcomer: A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
1 ¶ O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall guide the peoples under us, and the Gentiles under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 ¶ God is gone up with a shout of joy, the LORD with the sound of the shofar.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigns over the Gentiles; God sits upon the throne of his holiness.
9 The princes of the peoples have joined the people of the God of Abraham; for the shields of the earth belong unto God; he is greatly exalted.
34 ¶ And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
2 and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
3 and the Negev and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed. I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over there.
5 ¶ So Moses, the slave of the LORD, died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor, but no one knows of his sepulchre unto this day.
7 And Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
4 But I have told you these things that when that hour shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And I did not say these things unto you at the beginning because I was with you.
5 But now I go unto him that sent me, and none of you asks me, Where goest thou?
6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they do not believe in me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
