9 How can a young man keep his way pure?

10 With (B)all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me (C)wander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have (D)treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Lord;
(E)Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have (F)told of
All the (G)ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have (H)rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
[a]As much as in all riches.
15 I will (I)meditate on Your precepts
And [b]regard (J)Your ways.
16 I shall [c](K)delight in Your statutes;
I shall (L)not forget Your word.
The Blessings of Israel
44 “But now listen, O Jacob, My (A)servant,
And Israel, whom I have chosen:
2 Thus says the Lord who made you
And (B)formed you from the womb, who (C)will help you,
‘(D)Do not fear, O Jacob My servant;
And you (E)Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
3 ‘For (F)I will pour out water on [a]the thirsty land
And streams on the dry ground;
I will (G)pour out My Spirit on your (H)offspring
And My blessing on your descendants;
4 And they will spring up [b]among the grass
Like (I)poplars by streams of water.’
5 “This one will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’;
And that one [c]will call on the name of Jacob;
And another will (J)write [d]on his hand, ‘Belonging to the Lord,’
And will name Israel’s name with honor.
6 “Thus says the Lord, the (K)King of Israel and his (L)Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the (M)first and I am the last,
And there is no God (N)besides Me.
7 ‘Who is like Me? (O)Let him proclaim and declare it;
Yes, let him recount it to Me in order,
[e]From the time that I established the ancient [f]nation.
And let them declare to them the things that are coming
And the events that are going to take place.
8 ‘Do not tremble and do not be afraid;
(P)Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?
And (Q)you are My witnesses.
Is there any God (R)besides Me,
Or is there any other (S)Rock?
I know of none.’”
Peter’s Sermon
14 But Peter, [a]taking his stand with (A)the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words. 15 For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, (B)for it is only the [b]third hour of the day; 16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
17 ‘(C)And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all [c]mankind;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams;
18 Even on My bondslaves, both men and women,
I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit
And they shall prophesy.
19 ‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above
And signs on the earth below,
Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
20 ‘The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood,
Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.
21 ‘And it shall be that (D)everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: (E)Jesus the Nazarene, (F)a man [d]attested to you by God with [e]miracles and (G)wonders and [f]signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know— 23 this Man, delivered over by the (H)predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, (I)you nailed to a cross by the hands of [g]godless men and put Him to death. 24 [h]But (J)God raised Him up again, putting an end to the [i]agony of death, since it (K)was impossible for Him to be held [j]in its power.
