A Song of Praise to God Coming in Judgment(A)

96 Oh, (B)sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the [a]nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

For (C)the Lord is great and (D)greatly to be praised;
(E)He is to be feared above all gods.
For (F)all the gods of the peoples are idols,
(G)But the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and (H)beauty are in His sanctuary.

(I)Give[b] to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Give to the Lord glory and strength.
[c]Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Oh, worship the Lord (J)in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.

10 Say among the [d]nations, (K)“The Lord reigns;
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be [e]moved;
(L)He shall judge the peoples righteously.”

11 (M)Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
(N)Let the sea roar, and [f]all its fullness;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice
13     before the Lord.
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
(O)He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.

Zephaniah 3:8-13

A Faithful Remnant(A)

“Therefore (B)wait for Me,” says the Lord,
“Until the day I rise up [a]for plunder;
My determination is to (C)gather the nations
To My assembly of kingdoms,
To pour on them My indignation,
All My fierce anger;
All the earth (D)shall be devoured
With the fire of My jealousy.

“For then I will restore to the peoples (E)a pure [b]language,
That they all may call on the name of the Lord,
To serve Him with one accord.
10 (F)From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers,
The daughter of My dispersed ones,
Shall bring My offering.
11 In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds
In which you transgress against Me;
For then I will take away from your midst
Those who (G)rejoice in your pride,
And you shall no longer be haughty
In My holy mountain.
12 I will leave in your midst
(H)A meek and humble people,
And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.
13 (I)The remnant of Israel (J)shall do no unrighteousness
(K)And speak no lies,
Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;
For (L)they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
And no one shall make them afraid.”

Romans 10:5-13

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, (A)“The man who does those things shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, (B)“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, (C)“ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? (D)“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that (E)if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, (F)“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For (G)there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for (H)the same Lord over all (I)is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For (J)“whoever calls (K)on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
