Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
1 ¶ The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the seat of his throne.
3 A fire shall go before him and burn up his enemies round about.
4 His lightnings enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.
5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
7 Let all those that serve graven images be confounded, those that boast of idols; worship him, all ye gods.
8 ¶ Zion heard and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.
9 For thou, O LORD, art high above all the earth; thou art exalted far above all gods.
10 Ye that love the LORD are to hate evil; he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
33 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart and go up from here, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt unto the land which I swore unto Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it.
2 (And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.)
3 Unto the land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people lest I consume thee in the way.
4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned, and no one put on their ornaments.
5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the sons of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people; I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment and consume thee; therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 Then the sons of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments from Mount Horeb on.
13 Brethren, I do not reckon to have laid hold of it yet, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and extending myself unto those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 ¶ Let us, therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded; and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 Nevertheless, in that unto which we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us have the same mind.
17 ¶ Brethren, be imitators of me and consider those who so walk, as ye have us for a pattern.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross {Gr. stauros – stake} of Christ;
19 whose end shall be perdition, whose God is their belly and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things).
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall transform our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is also able to subdue all things unto himself.
4 ¶ Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
