Psalm 142

142 I cried to the LORD with my voice! With my voice I prayed to the LORD.

I poured out my meditation before Him, declared my affection in His presence.

Though my spirit was overwhelmed in me, You still knew my path. They have secretly laid a snare for me in the way wherein I walk.

I looked on my right hand and beheld, but there was no one who knew me. All refuge failed me. No one cared for my soul.

I cried to You, O LORD, and said, “You are my Hope, my portion in the land of the living.

“Listen to my cry, for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.

“Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may praise Your Name. The righteous shall surround me when You are beneficial to me.” A Psalm of David

Micah 1:1-5

The Word of the LORD that came to Micah the Moreshite, in the days of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Hear, all you people! Listen, O Earth, and all that therein is! And let the LORD God be Witness against you, the LORD from His Holy Temple.

For behold, the LORD comes out of His place and will come down and tread upon the high places of the Earth.

And the mountains shall melt under Him. So shall the valleys cling as wax before the fire, as the waters that are poured downward.

This is all because of the wickedness of Jacob, and for the sins of the House of Israel. What is the wickedness of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

Furthermore, we urge and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, brothers, that you increase more and more in how you ought to walk and to please God (as you have received from us).

For you know what Commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God: your sanctification. And that you should abstain from fornication;

so that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in holiness and honor,

not in the passion of lust (as the Gentiles do, who do not know God),

so that no one oppresses or defrauds his brother in any matter. For the Lord is Avenger of all such things, as we also have told you previously, and testified.

For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

Therefore, the one who ignores these things, does not ignore man, but God (Who has also given His Holy Spirit).
