Version
Psalm 116:1-2

Psalm 116

I love Yahweh because he hears my voice, my pleas for mercy.
I will call on him as long as I live
because he turns his ear toward me.

Psalm 116:12-19

12 How can I repay Yahweh
for all the good that he has done for me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation
and call on the name of Yahweh.
14 I will keep my vows to Yahweh
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of Yahweh
is the death of his faithful ones.
16 O Yahweh, I am indeed your servant.
    I am your servant,
the son of your female servant.
You have freed me from my chains.
17 I will bring a song of thanksgiving to you as a sacrifice.
I will call on the name of Yahweh.
18 I will keep my vows to Yahweh
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courtyards of Yahweh’s house,
    in the middle of Jerusalem.

Hallelujah!

Genesis 21:1-7

God Provides for Hagar and Ishmael

21 Yahweh came to help Sarah and did for her what he had promised. So she became pregnant, and at the exact time Elohim had promised, she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. Abraham named his newborn son Isaac. When Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him as Elohim had commanded. Abraham was 100 years old when his son Isaac was born.

Sarah said, “Elohim has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me. Who would have predicted to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet, I have given him a son in his old age.”

Hebrews 3:1-6

Christ Is Superior to Moses

Brothers and sisters, you are holy partners in a heavenly calling. So look carefully at Yeshua, the apostle and chief priest about whom we make our declaration of faith. Yeshua is faithful to God, who appointed him, in the same way that Moses was faithful when he served in God’s house. Yeshua deserves more praise than Moses in the same way that the builder of a house is praised more than the house. After all, every house has a builder, but the builder of everything is God.

Moses was a faithful servant in God’s household. He told the people what God would say in the future. But Christ is a faithful son in charge of God’s household. We are his household if we continue to have courage and to be proud of the confidence we have.
