21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 33:12-22

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh down from heaven; He beholdeth all of the sons of men.

14 From the place of His habitation He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth;

15 He fashioneth the hearts of all; He considereth all their works.

16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy,

19 to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

22 Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee.

Exodus 20:1-21

20 And God spoke all these words, saying:

“I am the Lord thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me,

and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work;

10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

12 “Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 “Thou shalt not kill.

14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 “Thou shalt not steal.

16 “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.”

18 And all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they removed and stood afar off.

19 And they said unto Moses, “Speak thou with us and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

20 And Moses said unto the people, “Fear not; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.”

21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

Matthew 5:1-12

And seeing the multitudes, He went up onto a mountain; and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him.

And He opened His mouth and taught them, saying,

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

11 Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake.

12 Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in Heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.
