New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
Version
Psalm 40:6-17

[a](A)Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired;
My ears You have [b]opened;
Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.
Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is [c]written of me.
(B)I delight to do Your will, O my God;
(C)Your Law is within my heart.”

I have (D)proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation;
Behold, I will (E)not restrain my lips,
O Lord, (F)You know.
10 I have (G)not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
I have (H)spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great congregation.

11 You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me;
[d]Your (I)lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.
12 For evils beyond number have (J)surrounded me;
My (K)iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see;
They are (L)more numerous than the hairs of my head,
And my (M)heart has [e]failed me.

13 (N)Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
Make (O)haste, O Lord, to help me.
14 Let those be (P)ashamed and humiliated together
Who (Q)seek my [f]life to destroy it;
Let those be turned back and dishonored
Who delight [g]in my hurt.
15 Let those (R)be [h]appalled because of their shame
Who (S)say to me, “Aha, aha!”
16 (T)Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let those who love Your salvation (U)say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”
17 Since (V)I am afflicted and needy,
[i](W)Let the Lord be mindful of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Do not delay, O my God.

Isaiah 53

The Suffering Servant

53 (A)Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He grew up before Him like a (B)tender [a]shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has (C)no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should [b]be attracted to Him.
He was (D)despised and forsaken of men,
A man of [c]sorrows and (E)acquainted with [d]grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was (F)despised, and we did not (G)esteem Him.

Surely our [e]griefs He Himself (H)bore,
And our [f]sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
[g]Smitten of (I)God, and afflicted.
But He was [h]pierced through for (J)our transgressions,
He was crushed for (K)our iniquities;
The (L)chastening for our [i]well-being fell upon Him,
And by (M)His scourging we are healed.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To [j]fall on Him.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not (N)open His mouth;
(O)Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off out of the land of the [k]living
(P)For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a (Q)rich man in His death,
(R)Because He had (S)done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

10 But the Lord was pleased
To (T)crush Him, [l](U)putting Him to grief;
If [m]He would render Himself as a guilt (V)offering,
He will see (W)His [n]offspring,
He will prolong His days,
And the [o]good (X)pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
11 As a result of the [p]anguish of His soul,
He will (Y)see [q]it and be satisfied;
By His (Z)knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will (AA)bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will allot Him a (AB)portion with the great,
And He will divide the booty with the strong;
Because He poured out [r](AC)Himself to death,
And was (AD)numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself (AE)bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.

Hebrews 10:1-4

One Sacrifice of Christ Is Sufficient

10 For the Law, since it has only (A)a shadow of (B)the good things to come and not the very [a]form of things, [b]can (C)never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, (D)make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had (E)consciousness of sins? But (F)in [c]those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year. For it is (G)impossible for the (H)blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
