76 In Judah is God known; His name is great in Israel.

² In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion.

³ There broke He the arrows of the bow, the shield and the sword and the battle. Selah

⁴ Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

⁵ The stouthearted are despoiled; they have slept their sleep, and none of the men of might have found their hands.

⁶ At Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

⁷ Thou, Thou alone, art to be feared; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?

⁸ Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still,

⁹ when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain.

¹¹ Make vows, and pay them unto the Lord your God; let all that be round about Him bring presents unto Him that ought to be feared.

¹² He shall cut off the spirit of princes; He is fearsome to the kings of the earth.

¹⁷ “For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood, brass, and for stones, iron. I will also make thy officers peace and thine exactors righteousness.

¹⁸ Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation and thy gates Praise.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

²¹ Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

²² A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation; I, the Lord, will hasten it in his time.”

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, let every man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

²⁶ Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath,

²⁷ neither give place to the devil.

²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to use in edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

³⁰ And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

³¹ Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice;

³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

5 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

² and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor.
