You Are a Priest Forever
Of David. A Psalm.
110 (A)Yahweh says to my Lord:
“(B)Sit at My right hand
Until I put (C)Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet.”
2 Yahweh will stretch forth Your strong (D)scepter from Zion, saying,
“(E)Have dominion in the midst of Your enemies.”
3 Your (F)people [a]will offer themselves freely in the day of Your [b]power;
(G)In the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,
The (H)dew of Your youthfulness will be Yours.
4 (I)Yahweh has sworn and will (J)not [c]change His mind,
“You are a (K)priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is (L)at Your right hand;
He [d]will (M)crush kings in the (N)day of His anger.
6 He will (O)render justice among the nations,
He [e]will fill them with (P)corpses,
He [f]will (Q)crush the [g]head that is over the wide earth.
7 He will (R)drink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will (S)lift up His head.
22 And Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “(A)Every son who is born [a]you are to cast into (B)the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.”
The Birth of Moses
2 And a man from (C)the house of Levi went and took a daughter of Levi as a wife. 2 And the woman conceived and bore a son; and she saw [b]that he was [c](D)beautiful, so she hid him for three months. 3 But she could not hide him any longer. So she took for him [d]an (E)ark of papyrus reeds and covered it over with tar and pitch. Then she put the child into it and put it among the (F)reeds by the bank of the Nile. 4 (G)And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him.
5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down (H)to bathe at the Nile, with her young women walking alongside the Nile; and she saw the [e]ark among the reeds and sent her maidservant, and she took it to her. 6 Then she opened it and [f]saw the child. And behold, the [g]boy was crying. And she had pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.” 7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call [h]a nurse for you from the Hebrew women that she may nurse the child for you?” 8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” So the [i]girl went and called the child’s mother. 9 Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and (I)he became her son. And she named him [j]Moses and said, “Because I [k]drew him out of the water.”
23 By faith (A)Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the (B)king’s edict. 24 By faith Moses, (C)when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to (D)be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 (E)regarding the reproach of [a]Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the (F)reward.
