Psalm 119:57-64

Heth

57 The Lord is my (A)portion;
I have [a]promised to (B)keep Your words.
58 I (C)sought Your favor (D)with all my heart;
(E)Be gracious to me (F)according to Your [b]word.
59 I (G)considered my ways
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I hurried and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The (H)snares of the wicked have surrounded me,
But I have (I)not forgotten Your Law.
62 At (J)midnight I will rise to give thanks to You
Because of Your (K)righteous judgments.
63 I am a (L)companion to all those who [c]fear You,
And to those who keep Your precepts.
64 (M)The earth is full of Your goodness, Lord;
(N)Teach me Your statutes.

Proverbs 25:11-22

11 Like apples of gold in settings of silver,
Is a (A)word spoken at [a]the proper time.
12 Like [b]an (B)earring of gold and a (C)jewelry piece of (D)fine gold,
Is a wise person who offers rebukes to a (E)listening ear.
13 Like the cold of snow in the [c]time of harvest
Is a (F)faithful messenger to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.
14 Like (G)clouds and (H)wind without rain
Is a person who boasts [d]of his gifts falsely.
15 Through [e](I)patience a ruler may be persuaded,
And a gentle tongue breaks bone.
16 Have you (J)found honey? Eat only [f]what you need,
So that you do not have it in excess and vomit it.
17 Let your foot rarely be in your neighbor’s house,
Or he will become [g]weary of you and hate you.
18 Like a club, a (K)sword, and a sharp (L)arrow
Is a person who gives (M)false testimony against his neighbor.
19 Like a bad tooth and [h]an unsteady foot
Is confidence in a (N)treacherous person in time of trouble.
20 Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar on [i]soda,
Is one who sings songs to [j]a troubled heart.
21 (O)If [k]your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
22 For you will [l]heap burning coals on his head,
And (P)the Lord will reward you.

Romans 12:9-21

[a](A)Love must be free of hypocrisy. (B)Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be (C)devoted to one another in brotherly love; [b]give preference to one another (D)in honor, 11 not lagging behind in diligence, (E)fervent in spirit, (F)serving the Lord; 12 (G)rejoicing in hope, (H)persevering in tribulation, (I)devoted to prayer, 13 (J)contributing to the needs of the [c]saints, [d](K)practicing hospitality.

14 (L)Bless those who persecute [e]you; bless and do not curse. 15 (M)Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 (N)Be of the same mind toward one another; (O)do not be [f]haughty in mind, but [g]associate with the lowly. (P)Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 (Q)Never repay evil for evil to anyone. [h](R)Respect what is right in the sight of all people. 18 If possible, (S)so far as it depends on you, (T)be at peace with all people. 19 (U)Never take your own revenge, beloved, but [i]leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “(V)Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 (W)But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
