感恩
3 我在日夜的祈禱中時常想到你，我感謝神，就是我像先祖那樣以清白的良心所事奉的那一位。 4 每當想起你的淚水，我就切切地想去見你，好讓我的喜樂得以滿足。 5 我想起你裡面那不虛假的信仰，這信仰先是在你外祖母羅伊絲和你母親猶妮絲裡面，我深信也在你裡面。
6 因這理由，我提醒你：要把神的恩賜再如火挑旺起來；這恩賜是藉著我的按手，在你裡面的。 7 實際上，神所賜給我們的，不是膽怯的靈，而是大能、慈愛、自制的靈。
