Israel’s Taunt

14 When the Lord will ^(A)have compassion on Jacob and again ^(B)choose Israel, and settle them in their own land, then ^(C)strangers will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob. ² The peoples will take them along and bring them to their place, and the ^(D)house of Israel will possess them as an inheritance in the land of the Lord ^(E)as male servants and female servants; and ^[a]they will take their captors captive and will rule over their oppressors.

God’s Provisions

¹⁰ But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last ^(A)you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. ¹¹ Not that I speak ^[a]from want, for I have learned to be ^[b](B)content in whatever circumstances I am. ¹² I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going ^(C)hungry, both of having abundance and ^(D)suffering need. ¹³ I can do all things ^[c]through Him who ^(E)strengthens me. ¹⁴ Nevertheless, you have done well to ^(F)share with me in my affliction.

¹⁵ You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the ^[d](G)first preaching of the gospel, after I left ^(H)Macedonia, no church ^(I)shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;
