New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 145:8-9

The Lord is merciful and compassionate;
he is patient[a] and demonstrates great loyal love.[b]
The Lord is good to all,
and has compassion on all he has made.[c]

Psalm 145:14-21

14 [a] The Lord supports all who fall,
and lifts up all who are bent over.[b]
15 Everything looks to you in anticipation,[c]
and you provide them with food on a regular basis.[d]
16 You open your hand,
and fill every living thing with the food it desires.[e]
17 The Lord is just in all his actions,[f]
and exhibits love in all he does.[g]
18 The Lord is near all who cry out to him,
all who cry out to him sincerely.[h]
19 He satisfies the desire[i] of his loyal followers;[j]
he hears their cry for help and delivers them.
20 The Lord protects all those who love him,
but he destroys all the wicked.
21 My mouth will praise the Lord.[k]
Let all who live[l] praise his holy name forever.

Isaiah 44:1-5

The Lord Will Renew Israel

44 “Now, listen, Jacob my servant,
Israel whom I have chosen!”
This is what the Lord, the one who made you, says—
the one who formed you in the womb and helps you:
“Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob,
Jeshurun,[a] whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the parched ground[b]
and cause streams to flow[c] on the dry land.
I will pour my Spirit on your offspring
and my blessing on your children.
They will sprout up like a tree in the grass,[d]
like poplars beside channels of water.
One will say, ‘I belong to the Lord,’
and another will use[e] the name ‘Jacob.’
One will write on his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’
and use the name ‘Israel.’”[f]

Matthew 7:7-11

Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask[a] and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door[b] will be opened for you. For everyone who asks[c] receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Is[d] there anyone among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?[e] 11 If you then, although you are evil,[f] know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts[g] to those who ask him!
