Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
43 And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him to his father. And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God.
While everyone marvelled at all the things that he did, he said to his disciples, 44 Let these words sink down into your ears: the time will come when the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men. 45 But they did not comprehend what that saying meant. It was hid from them, so that they did not understand it. And they were afraid to ask him about it.
46 Then there arose a dispute among them, who should be the greatest. 47 When Jesus perceived the thoughts of their hearts, he took a child and set him close by himself 48 and said to them, Whoever receives this child in my name, receives me. And whoever receives me, receives him who sent me. For he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
