Psalm 145

The Lord Extolled for His Goodness.

A Psalm of Praise, of David.

145 I will (A)extol You, (B)my God, O King,
And I will (C)bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will (D)praise Your name forever and ever.
(E)Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised,
And His (F)greatness is unsearchable.
One (G)generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
On the (H)glorious [a]splendor of Your majesty
And (I)on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
Men shall speak of the [b]power of Your (J)awesome acts,
And I will (K)tell of Your greatness.
They shall [c]eagerly utter the memory of Your (L)abundant goodness
And will (M)shout joyfully of Your righteousness.

The Lord is (N)gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
The Lord is (O)good to all,
And His (P)mercies are over all His works.
10 (Q)All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord,
And Your (R)godly ones shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the (S)glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
12 To (T)make known to the sons of men [d]Your mighty acts
And the (U)glory of the majesty of [e]Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is [f]an (V)everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

14 The Lord (W)sustains all who fall
And (X)raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all [g]look to You,
And You (Y)give them their food in due time.
16 You (Z)open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

17 The Lord is (AA)righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
18 The Lord is (AB)near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him (AC)in truth.
19 He will (AD)fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also (AE)hear their cry and will save them.
20 The Lord (AF)keeps all who love Him,
But all the (AG)wicked He will destroy.
21 My (AH)mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
And (AI)all flesh will (AJ)bless His holy name forever and ever.

Song of Solomon 4:1-8

Solomon’s Love Expressed

[a][b]How beautiful (A)you are, my darling,
[c]How beautiful you are!
Your (B)eyes are like doves (C)behind your veil;
Your (D)hair is like a flock of goats
That have descended from Mount (E)Gilead.
“Your (F)teeth are like a flock of newly shorn ewes
Which have come up from their washing,
All of which bear twins,
And not one among them has [d]lost her young.
“Your lips are like a (G)scarlet thread,
And your (H)mouth is lovely.
Your (I)temples are like a slice of a pomegranate
Behind your veil.
“Your (J)neck is like the tower of David,
Built [e]with rows of stones
On which are (K)hung a thousand shields,
All the round (L)shields of the mighty men.
“Your (M)two breasts are like two fawns,
Twins of a gazelle
Which (N)feed among the lilies.
(O)Until [f]the cool of the day
When the shadows flee away,
I will go my way to the mountain of (P)myrrh
And to the hill of (Q)frankincense.

(R)You are altogether beautiful, my darling,
And there is no blemish in you.
Come with me from (S)Lebanon, my (T)bride,
May you come with me from Lebanon.
[g]Journey down from the summit of (U)Amana,
From the summit of (V)Senir and Hermon,
From the dens of lions,
From the mountains of leopards.

1 Corinthians 1:3-17

(A)Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

(B)I thank [a]my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in everything you were (C)enriched in Him, in all (D)speech and (E)all knowledge, even as (F)the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed [b]in you, so that you are not lacking in any gift, (G)awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, (H)who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in (I)the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (J)God is faithful, through whom you were (K)called into (L)fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 Now (M)I exhort you, (N)brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [c]agree and that there be no [d](O)divisions among you, but that you be [e]made complete in (P)the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you. 12 Now I mean this, that (Q)each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of (R)Apollos,” and “I of (S)Cephas,” and “I of Christ.” 13 [f]Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you (T)baptized [g]in the name of Paul? 14 [h]I thank God that I (U)baptized none of you except (V)Crispus and (W)Gaius, 15 so that no one would say you were baptized [i]in my name. 16 Now I did baptize also the (X)household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other. 17 (Y)For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, (Z)not in [j]cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.
