Colossians 3:12-17

Now therefore, as chosen by God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and longsuffering, 13 forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a quarrel against another. Just as Christ forgave you, so also should you do.

Above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And may the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which peace you are called in one body. And see that you be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdom. Teach and exhort your own selves, in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs that have grace with them, singing in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And all things – whatsoever you do, in word or deed – do in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.

Luke 2:41-52

Now his father and mother went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.  43 And when the days had come to an end, as they turned back for home, the child Jesus remained still in Jerusalem, unbeknownst to his father and mother. 44 For they supposed he would be with the caravan. And therefore they went a day’s journey, and were searching for him among their kinsfolk and companions. 45 When they did not find him, they went back again to Jerusalem and searched for him. 46 And eventually, after three days, they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And everyone who heard him marvelled at his understanding and answers.

When his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, Son, why have you dealt with us this way? Look, your father and I have been searching for you, sorrowing.

And he said to them, How is it that you were searching for me? Did you not know that I must go about my Father’s business?

But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

And he went with them, and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. And his mother kept all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and age, and in favour with God and man.
