Version
Psalm 126

Psalm 126

A song for going up to worship.

When Yahweh restored the fortunes of Zion,
it was as if we were dreaming.
Then our mouths were filled with laughter
and our tongues with joyful songs.
    Then the nations said,
Yahweh has done spectacular things for them.”

Yahweh has done spectacular things for us.
    We are overjoyed.
Restore our fortunes, O Yahweh,
as you restore streams to dry riverbeds in the Negev.
Those who cry while they plant
will joyfully sing while they harvest.
The person who goes out weeping, carrying his bag of seed,
will come home singing, carrying his bundles of grain.

Isaiah 19:18-25

18 When that day comes, five cities in Egypt will have people that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to Yahweh Tsebaoth. One of the cities will be called Heliopolis.[a]

19 When that day comes, an altar for Yahweh will be in the middle of Egypt, and a stone marker for Yahweh will be near its border. 20 These objects will be a sign and a witness that Yahweh Tsebaoth is in Egypt. When the people cry to Yahweh because of those who oppress them, he will send a savior and defender to rescue them. 21 So Yahweh will make himself known to the Egyptians. The Egyptians will know Yahweh when that day comes. They will worship with sacrifices and food offerings. They will make vows to Yahweh and carry them out. 22 Yahweh will strike Egypt with a plague. When he strikes them, he will also heal them. Then they will come back to Yahweh. And he will respond to their prayers and heal them.

23 When that day comes, a highway will run from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will come to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. 24 When that day comes, Israel will be one-third of God’s people, along with Egypt and Assyria. They will be a blessing on the earth. 25 Yahweh Tsebaoth will bless them, saying, “My people Egypt, the work of my hands Assyria, and my possession Israel are blessed.”

2 Peter 1:2-15

May good will[a] and peace fill your lives through your knowledge about Yeshua, our God and Lord!

God’s Power Gives Us the Ability to Live Godly Lives

God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness. This power was given to us through knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and integrity. Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.

Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge; to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness; to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love. If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Yeshua Christ is living and productive. If these qualities aren’t present in your life, you’re shortsighted and have forgotten that you were cleansed from your past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, use more effort to make God’s calling and choosing of you secure.

If you keep doing this, you will never fall away. 11 Then you will also be given the wealth of entering into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Yeshua Christ.

12 Therefore, I will always remind you about these qualities, although you already know about them and are well-grounded in the truth that you now have. 13 As long as I’m still alive, I think it’s right to refresh your memory. 14 I know that I will die soon. Our Lord Yeshua Christ has made that clear to me. 15 So I will make every effort to see that you remember these things after I die.
