Good News Translation (GNT)
Version
Psalm 33:12-22

12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord;
    happy are the people he has chosen for his own!

13 The Lord looks down from heaven
    and sees all of us humans.
14 From where he rules, he looks down
    on all who live on earth.
15 He forms all their thoughts
    and knows everything they do.

16 (A)A king does not win because of his powerful army;
    a soldier does not triumph because of his strength.
17 War horses are useless for victory;
    their great strength cannot save.

18 The Lord watches over those who obey him,
    those who trust in his constant love.
19 He saves them from death;
    he keeps them alive in times of famine.

20 We put our hope in the Lord;
    he is our protector and our help.
21 We are glad because of him;
    we trust in his holy name.

22 May your constant love be with us, Lord,
    as we put our hope in you.

Genesis 2:4-7

And that is how the universe was created.

The Garden of Eden

When the Lord[a] God made the universe, there were no plants on the earth and no seeds had sprouted, because he had not sent any rain, and there was no one to cultivate the land; but water would come up from beneath the surface and water the ground.

(A)Then the Lord God took some soil from the ground and formed a man[b] out of it; he breathed life-giving breath into his nostrils and the man began to live.

1 Corinthians 15:42-49

42 This is how it will be when the dead are raised to life. When the body is buried, it is mortal; when raised, it will be immortal. 43 When buried, it is ugly and weak; when raised, it will be beautiful and strong. 44 When buried, it is a physical body; when raised, it will be a spiritual body. There is, of course, a physical body, so there has to be a spiritual body. 45 (A)For the scripture says, “The first man, Adam, was created a living being”; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit. 46 It is not the spiritual that comes first, but the physical, and then the spiritual. 47 The first Adam, made of earth, came from the earth; the second Adam came from heaven. 48 Those who belong to the earth are like the one who was made of earth; those who are of heaven are like the one who came from heaven. 49 Just as we wear the likeness of the man made of earth, so we will wear[a] the likeness of the Man from heaven.
