Psalm 119:65-72

ט TETH

65 You have dealt well with Your servant,
O Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and (A)knowledge,
For I believe Your commandments.
67 Before I was (B)afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are (C)good, and do good;
Teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have (D)forged[a] a lie against me,
But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
70 (E)Their heart is [b]as fat as grease,
But I delight in Your law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
72 (F)The law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

Leviticus 4:27-31

27 (A)‘If [a]anyone of the [b]common people sins unintentionally by doing something against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and is guilty, 28 or (B)if his sin which he has committed comes to his knowledge, then he shall bring as his offering a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has committed. 29 (C)And he shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill the sin offering at the place of the burnt offering. 30 Then the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour all the remaining blood at the base of the altar. 31 (D)He shall remove all its fat, (E)as fat is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offering; and the priest shall burn it on the altar for a (F)sweet aroma to the Lord. (G)So the priest shall make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

Leviticus 5:14-16

Offerings with Restitution

14 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 15 (A)“If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lord, then (B)he shall bring to the Lord as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to (C)the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering. 16 And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done in regard to the holy thing, (D)and shall add one-fifth to it and give it to the priest. (E)So the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

1 Peter 2:11-17

Living Before the World

11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts (A)which war against the soul, 12 (B)having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, (C)they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Submission to Government(D)

13 (E)Therefore submit yourselves to every [a]ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 (F)as free, yet not (G)using liberty as a cloak for [b]vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear (H)God. Honor the king.
