41 耶稣坐在布施箱对面，看着人们把钱投进箱中。很多有钱人向箱子里投了很多钱。 42 一个寡妇走来，向箱子里扔了两枚小铜钱 [a]，这两枚硬币只值一分钱。
43 耶稣把门徒们叫到一起，对他们说∶“我实话告诉你们：在所有捐钱的人当中，这个穷寡妇给的最多。 44 因为别人捐的都是多余的钱，这个寡妇很穷，却把自己所有的钱都拿了出来，她是要靠这点钱维持生活的。”
