Psalm 80:1-7

God Implored to Rescue His People from Their Calamities.

For the music director; set to [a]El Shoshannim; [b]Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph.

80 Listen, (A)Shepherd of Israel,
Who leads (B)Joseph like a flock;
You who (C)are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!
Before (D)Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, (E)awaken Your power,
And come to save us!
God, (F)restore us
And (G)make Your face shine upon us, [c]and we will be saved.

(H)Lord God of armies,
(I)How long will You [d]be angry with the prayer of Your people?
You have fed them with the (J)bread of tears,
And You have made them drink tears in [e]large measure.
You make us [f]an object of contention (K)to our neighbors,
And our enemies laugh among themselves.
God of armies, restore us
And make Your face shine upon us, [g]and we will be saved.

Psalm 80:17-19

17 Let (A)Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand,
Upon the son of man whom You (B)made strong for Yourself.
18 Then we will not (C)turn back from You;
(D)Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.
19 Lord God of armies, (E)restore us;
Make Your face shine upon us, [a]and we will be saved.

2 Samuel 7:23-29

23 And (A)what one nation on the earth is like Your people Israel, whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, and to make a name for Himself, and (B)to do a great thing for You and awesome things for Your land, [a]because of (C)Your people whom (D)You have redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, from other nations and their gods? 24 For (E)You have established for Yourself Your people Israel as Your own people forever, and (F)You, Lord, have become their God. 25 Now then, Lord God, the word that You have spoken about Your servant and his house, confirm it forever, and do just as You have spoken, 26 (G)so that Your name may be great forever, by saying, ‘The Lord of armies is God over Israel’; and may the house of Your servant David be established before You. 27 For You, Lord of armies, God of Israel, have [b]given a revelation to Your servant, saying, ‘(H)I will build you a house’; therefore Your servant has found [c]courage to pray this prayer to You. 28 Now then, Lord God, You are God, and (I)Your words are truth; and You have [d]promised this good thing to Your servant. 29 And now, may [e]it please You to bless the house of Your servant, so that it may continue forever before You. For You, Lord God, have spoken; and [f](J)with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”

John 3:31-36

31 (A)He who comes from above is above all; (B)the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. (C)He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 What He has seen and heard, of this He (D)testifies; and (E)no one accepts His testimony. 33 The one who has accepted His testimony (F)has certified that God is true. 34 For He whom God (G)sent speaks the words of God; (H)for He does not give the Spirit [a]sparingly. 35 (I)The Father loves the Son and (J)has entrusted all things to His hand. 36 The one who (K)believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who (L)does not [b]obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
