2 Corinthians 4:5-12

For we are not proclaiming ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus, because God, the One having said “Light will shine out of darkness”, is He Who shined in our hearts for[a] the illumination of [b] the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

God Is Making Life Known Through Clay Vessels Handed Over To Death

But[c] we have this treasure in vessels made-of-clay, in order that the excess[d] of the power may be God’s and not from us— in every way being afflicted[e] but not restrained[f], being perplexed but not utterly-perplexed, being persecuted but not forsaken, being struck down but not perishing; 10 at-all-times carrying-around in our body the dying[g] of Jesus in order that the life of Jesus may also be made-evident[h] in our body. 11 For we the ones living are always being handed-over to death for the sake of Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus may also be made-evident in our mortal flesh. 12 So then, death is at-work in us, but life in you.

Mark 2:23-3:6

The Disciples Pluck Grain On The Sabbath. I Am Lord of The Sabbath

23 And it came about that He was passing through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples began to make their way while plucking[a] the heads [of grain]. 24 And the Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look! Why are they doing on the Sabbath what is not lawful?” 25 And He says to them, “Did you never read [in 1 Sam 21:1-6] what David did when he had a need and was hungry, he and the ones with him— 26 how he entered into the house of God in the time[b] of Abiathar the high-priest and ate the Bread of Presentation[c] which is not lawful for anyone to eat but the priests, and he gave it also to the ones being with him?” 27 And He was saying to them, “The Sabbath was made[d] for the sake of mankind, and not mankind for the sake of the Sabbath. 28 So then[e], the Son of Man is Lord even[f] of the Sabbath”.

Is It Lawful To Heal On The Sabbath? Jesus Heals a Man, Inflaming The Pharisees

And He entered again into the synagogue. And there was a man there having his hand having become-withered. And they were closely-watching Him to see if He would cure him on the Sabbath, in order that they might accuse Him. And He says to the man having the withered hand, “Arise into the middle”. And He says to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do-harm[g], to save a life or to kill?” But the ones were being silent. And having looked-around-at them with anger, while being deeply-grieved at the hardness of their heart, He says to the man, “Stretch out the hand”. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. And having gone out, the Pharisees immediately were giving counsel against Him with the Herodians[h] so that they might destroy Him.
