New International Version (NIV)
Version
Psalm 62:5-12

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;(A)
    my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God[a];
    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.(B)
Trust in him at all times, you people;(C)
    pour out your hearts to him,(D)
    for God is our refuge.

Surely the lowborn(E) are but a breath,(F)
    the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance,(G) they are nothing;
    together they are only a breath.
10 Do not trust in extortion(H)
    or put vain hope in stolen goods;(I)
though your riches increase,
    do not set your heart on them.(J)

11 One thing God has spoken,
    two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you, God,(K)
12     and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;(L)
and, “You reward everyone
    according to what they have done.”(M)

Jeremiah 20:14-18

14 Cursed be the day I was born!(A)
    May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
15 Cursed be the man who brought my father the news,
    who made him very glad, saying,
    “A child is born to you—a son!”
16 May that man be like the towns(B)
    the Lord overthrew without pity.
May he hear wailing(C) in the morning,
    a battle cry at noon.
17 For he did not kill me in the womb,(D)
    with my mother as my grave,
    her womb enlarged forever.
18 Why did I ever come out of the womb(E)
    to see trouble(F) and sorrow
    and to end my days in shame?(G)

Luke 10:13-16

13 “Woe to you,(A) Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth(B) and ashes. 14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 And you, Capernaum,(C) will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.[a]

16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”(D)
