Psalm 119:33-40

ה HE

33 (A)Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall keep it to the end.
34 (B)Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law;
Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
36 [a]Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to (C)covetousness.
37 (D)Turn[b] away my eyes from (E)looking at worthless things,
And revive me in [c]Your way.
38 (F)Establish Your word to Your servant,
Who is devoted to fearing You.
39 Turn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your judgments are good.
40 Behold, I long for Your precepts;
Revive me in Your righteousness.

Exodus 22:21-27

21 (A)“You shall neither mistreat a [a]stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

22 (B)“You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. 23 If you afflict them in any way, and they (C)cry at all to Me, I will surely (D)hear their cry; 24 and My (E)wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; (F)your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

25 (G)“If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him (H)interest. 26 (I)If you ever take your neighbor’s garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down. 27 For that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What will he sleep in? And it will be that when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am (J)gracious.

1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

All to the Glory of God(A)

23 All things are lawful [a]for me, but not all things are (B)helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things [b]edify. 24 Let no one seek his own, but each one (C)the other’s well-being.

25 (D)Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience’ sake; 26 for (E)“the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

27 If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, (F)eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for conscience’ sake. 28 But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it (G)for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; [c]for (H)“the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.” 29 “Conscience,” I say, not your own, but that of the other. For (I)why is my liberty judged by another man’s conscience? 30 But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food (J)over which I give thanks?

31 (K)Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 (L)Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just (M)as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Worship and the Lord’s Supper

11 Imitate(N) me, just as I also imitate Christ.
